Your score is the total time for all five words. The clock runs only while a word is on screen, and stops between words until you tap Ready. Entering something that isn't a word adds 5 seconds; pressing Enter again on the same rejected entry doesn't add more. If you don't find a word within eight guesses, 90 seconds are added and the run moves on.

Yes. Everyone gets the same five words on the same date. The daily run changes at midnight in your own time zone.

No, you get one attempt per day. If you leave partway through, Speedyword picks up where you left off, with the clock stopped until you tap Resume. An unfinished daily from an earlier day can't be resumed after midnight.

Tap the microphone button next to Prefill greens. It turns green while listening; tap it again to turn it off. Say one word at a time and pause briefly between words. If Speedyword picks the wrong spelling (THEIR instead of THERE, for example), say the same word again and it tries the next one in the same guess row. The first time, iOS asks for permission to use the microphone and speech recognition. After installing or updating, voice input may take up to a minute to get ready, and the clock waits while it does.

Check Settings → Speedyword and make sure Microphone and Speech Recognition are turned on. Voice input works best in a quiet place, speaking clearly at a normal pace. You can always type instead.

When it's on, letters you've already found in the right spot (green) are filled in for you, so you only type the rest. Turn it off whenever you want to try a word that ignores those letters.

Speedyword uses Apple's Game Center. When you're signed in to Game Center, your daily time is posted to today's leaderboard. Tap Leaderboard on the results to see your Game Center friends' times for today's puzzle, or All players for everyone. To add friends, use Add friends there, or the Games app on your iPhone.

Make sure you're signed in to Game Center (Settings → Game Center) and online. If a score can't be sent right away, Speedyword tries again the next time you open the app that day. New scores can take a few minutes to appear.

Tap Practice run, then Restore purchase. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it. Purchases are handled by Apple; for refunds, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
