What makes it different

Speak your guesses

Turn on the mic to just say the word. Speedyword listens continuously, knows which words are in play, and handles sound-alikes: say it again and it tries the next spelling, like THEIR then THERE.

Greens stay filled in

Turn on Prefill greens and the letters you've already nailed are placed for you, so you only type what's missing. Turn it off any time you want to probe with a different word.

Every day brings the same five words for everyone. Your score is your total time. The clock stops between words, so a phone call won't ruin your run.

How to play

Start the daily run. Five 5-letter words, the same for every player each day. The clock runs only while a word is on screen.
Guess by typing or speaking. Each word gets up to eight guesses. The colors tell you how close you are.
Be quick and be real. Entering something that isn't a word adds 5 seconds. Missing a word adds 90.
Beat your best. Your total time is your score. Share your result, check the leaderboard, and come back tomorrow for five new words.
